Our small black coffee beaker is a contemporary, sleek, cone-shaped design. Its small volume makes it ideal as a cup for a double shot of espresso coffee or americano, but just as good for cold drinks too, such as wine.
This small black beaker is a really versatile product. Use these small beautiful cups not only for drinks but for an indulgently rich chocolate mousse, a scoop of luxury ice cream, and nibbles with an aperitif.
The easy-to-stack design of these black coffee beakers is another attractive feature. Our small black cups have a hand-drawn line in white porcelain slip which decorates the outside of the product, marking the dividing line between the fully glazed upper half and the lovely matt texture of the unglazed bottom half.
Our embossed logo is on the base of the small black coffee beaker and on all our tableware collection; mugs, cups and beakers - and identifies it as a quality high-fired ceramic product designed by, and made for Sue Ure Maison. The glossy glaze inside the cup is easy to clean and will keep its beautiful surface.
Our ceramic tableware products are all designed and initially hand thrown by me, Sue, in our pottery studio before being sent to our manufacturer. I make lots of different mugs in stoneware and in porcelain, modifying the product design - the shape, decoration, size, material and thickness - before deciding which is the perfect coffee or tea mug that I want to send to my manufacturer.
A mould will then be created from my handmade item in order to make the product in greater, though still limited, quantity. The desire to create new products with long-lasting appeal as well as functionality is at the heart of Sue Ure Maison's ethos.
