Umniya Rainbow Quilt | Kantha Quilt
Kanthas are layers of cloth, hand-stitched by women in West Bengal using a traditional kantha stitch.
Umniya, a perfectly imperfect rainbow kantha throw that took up to 20 days to complete and is made from 3 layers of 100% cotton. The freehand zig zag pattern made up of green, red, blue, black, yellow and red symbolises a rainbow of Hope.
Each throw is entwined with hope and love and by purchasing a Hope throw you are directly supporting the livelihood of artisans dependent on traditional skills.
