These understated yet refined lampshades bring a warm, rustic ambiance to any space. Crafted using the traditional plaiting technique that has defined Gone Rural since its beginning, this method involves braiding dyed fibers like lutindzi into long strands. These strands are then intricately woven, coiled, and sewn to form distinctive designs. The lutindzi fiber, sustainably harvested from the mountains of eSwatini by cutting above the root, offers natural waterproof and stain-resistant qualities thanks to its durable, waxy surface.
