How to take care of your Linen

When it comes to taking care of linen, temperature matters! Did you know that hot water actually destroys the fibres in linen? Using cold to lukewarm water when your washing your linen will help keep it strong and will also prevent shrinkage.

When your drying your linen products, shake them whilst they're still damp. By doing this you will be preventing deep wrinkling on them and help keep the natural texture perfect.

Don't keep your linen in plastic bags. Keeping any linen product in a plastic bag will trap moisture which creates mildew. Using cotton storage bags lets your linen breathe.

When it comes to stains and spills, there's a solution to each spill.

Spills like red wine, blotting then rinsing with cold water will do the trick. Oil stains are easily removed with corn-starch. Last but not least, ink can be removed with rubbing alcohol. 

Are you wanting to soften your linen? Don't use a fabric softener. Throughout each wash your linen products will naturally soften on their own, so just trust the process and let them soften.

If you don't want wrinkles in your linen, immediately after washing hang up your products and let them air dry. If the wrinkles are still there, use a steamer to help remove the wrinkles.
