A beautiful handcrafted cotton Wayuu mochila clutch bag / pouch made by the Wayuu people; a Native American ethnic group from the desert region of 'La Guajira' in North-East Colombia. The women learn the tradition of weaving at an early age and it is passed down through the generations to keep the craft alive. Each bag takes between 1-2 weeks to make. The traditional patterns and shapes are designed by the individual at the time of weaving and represent how they were feeling at the time.
