Each Loofah dimension: 12.5 cm x 9 cm (in dry form).
These loofahs are made by refugees supported by Sitti in Jordan. Like Sabbara, Sitti are a social enterprise dedicated to supporting refugees in the Middle East through crafts that keep our heritage alive.
Use these all-natural sponges to exfoliate in the shower or as an environmentally-friendly alternative to your kitchen sponges. Sitti’s Loofah Sponge is hard enough to exfoliate and scrub, yet soft enough to protect skin (or other surfaces).
Each sponge is durable for approximately 30-40 days. When you are finished with your loofah, simply bury it in the soil or throw it in with your other compost materials - it is entirely biodegradable!
What Is Loofah?
The loofah plant is a fast growing vine native to Asia and Southeast Asia, belonging to the cucumber family. They are cultivated throughout the Middle East, including Jordan. The loofah fruit is similar to a cucumber but much bigger. The inside of this fruit develops strong fibres, which are perfect for exfoliating and cleaning!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a natural product so size and colour variations will occur between loofahs. Some of them even contain loofah seeds and they aren't processed at all. This is totally normal!
